TB Test - SAVE 20% on the Tuberculosis Blood Test

Save 20% on the Tuberculosis blood test - The QuantiFERON-TB Blood Test provides accurate results.

Did you know?  Not everyone infected with TB becomes sick. A latent TB infection does not cause symptoms.

Do you have Tuberculosis (TB) and not know it? You can find out with a blood test.

Symptoms of active TB in the lungs include a bad cough that lasts 3 weeks or longer, pain in the chest, coughing up blood or sputum, weakness or fatigue, weight loss, no appetite, chills, fever, and sweating at night.

The QuantiFERON-TB blood test is used to aid in the diagnosis of both latent and active infections with the bacteria that causes Tuberculosis (TB). This test has been updated to offer the Quantiferon Gold Plus, which has the same high level of specificity as the previous generation of testing and increased sensitivity of 94%. This test is one of only two blood tests for TB approved by the FDA. The QuantiFERON-TB blood test has several advantages over a skin test. Blood testing requires only one visit to the lab, while skin testing requires multiple visits to a doctor's office. Blood testing for Tuberculosis is typically more accurate than a skin test. Skin testing has a higher likelihood of false-positive results, especially if a person has been previously vaccinated for TB.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, weight loss, fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, night sweats, or a cough for three weeks, a TB test may help you rule out a tuberculosis infection.
