Test Preparation: No preparation required.

External Test Interference: If you've had a fluorescein dye test (such as for an eye exam), wait at least 3 days before having your TSH test drawn. If you are on hemodialysis, wait 2 weeks. Fluorescein can cause falsely low TSH results.
